Georgian Jews and Their Cultural Treasures
Hosted By: The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University
Siegal Lifelong Learning presents a course on the world’s oldest continuous Jewish diaspora, the Georgian Jewish community, which traces its origins to 587 BCE. The program explores the community’s rich historical, religious, cultural, literary, and linguistic heritage. Participants will examine the development of a shared Georgian–Jewish material culture and the interfaith relationships that shaped it over centuries.
