From the Vineyard of God to the Vineyard of Naboth with Sharona Lima

Hosted By: Volunteers for Israel (VFI)

Two interesting and complex characters are the focus of this upcoming tour – King Achav and Prophet Elijah. Achav and Elijah met twice. Once on a peak of Mt. Carmel, and once at Yizra’el. The first meeting was a theatrical theological battle. The second meeting an emotional and personal confrontation. On this virtual tour we’ll “visit” the two battle locations and enjoy the scenery, vegetation, and nature trails. Lastly, and most importantly, we’ll explore the two meetings themselves and read the accompanying biblical text as we look at the actual places where the words were spoken and the deeds were done.

Host

Volunteers for Israel (VFI)

Volunteers for Israel (VFI) is the only American organization that creates opportunities for civilian volunteers to serve on Israeli Defence Force bases. VFI partners with Israeli military and civilian organizations that enable volunteers to work side-by-side with Israel's soldiers, providing non-combat support to help maintain the readiness of the IDF to defend Israel. VFI enables the IDF to allocate more of its manpower and finances to military tasks, boosts morale within the IDF, and strengthens personal connections to Israel.
