From Sand to Skyline An Urban Tel Aviv Exploration
Hosted By: Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program ("CSP")
The Community Scholar Program presents the second two-part installment of its Tel Aviv series with Gila, exploring the city’s origin story through architecture and flavor. “Built to Tell: Tel Aviv in Architecture” traces the city’s evolution from eclectic Ottoman facades to Bauhaus modernism, while “Markets & Migrations: A Taste of Tel Aviv” follows its history through kitchens and markets, from the restored Sarona Market to the vibrant Hatikvah Market. Together, the sessions reveal a city built not only in stone and steel, but in stories, spice, and reinvention.
