From Nothing to Nothing: Finding Your Own Voice in Prayer
Hosted By: Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS)
The Jewish Theological Seminary of America presents a session with Cantor Rabbi Shoshi Levin Goldberg, Director of the H. L. Miller Cantorial School, on the quiet prayer recited at the conclusion of the Amidah, traditionally associated with the personal supplications of the sages. The session considers how the rabbis wove their own hopes, fears, and longings into the liturgy and what that model might offer us today. Participants will explore what the passage teaches about bringing our authentic selves into prayer during the High Holidays.
