DESCRIPTION:Kabbalah Experience offers a sample class exploring the question\, “Do we have free will?” through the lenses of neuroscience and Kabbalah. While many neuroscientists—and Leonard Cohen—argue that free will is an illusion\, Kabbalistic thought maintains that the soul’s self-awareness allows for true choice beyond nature and nurture. The class will also draw on insights from Edith Eger’s “The Choice” to examine how spiritual growth can emerge from bold\, conscious decisions.
