‘Fiddler On the Moon’ Film Screening with Q and A
Hosted By: Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA)
In just 30 minutes, “Fiddler on the Moon” finally answers the question that has plagued scientists, theologians and comedians for millennia: Will Judaism survive in space?
Starring Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jewish astronauts Jeffrey Hoffman and Jessica Meir, and a quorum of rabbis and researchers, the short documentary film covers the Jews who’ve ascended into the atmosphere, how Shabbat morphs in space and what travel across the universe means for Judaism.
You’re invited to this special JTA screening and Q&A event, which will include:
- A full online screening of the 30-minute film
- An online conversation afterwards featuring the film’s directors, Seth Kramer and Daniel A. Miller, and Dr. Sheyna Gifford, a participant in the longest Mars simulation in U.S. history
All registrants will receive a recording of the Q&A portion of the event, but not the film.
