Fiber artist Ellen November

Hosted By: Art And Scroll Studio, American Guild of Judaic Art

Hosted by Art and Scroll Studio and the American Guild of Judaic Art, this event features Ellen November, who creates photographic portraits in fabric that capture snapshots in time and place. Her work interweaves the feeling of a location with roads, landmarks, and floorplans, creating collages of texture and color. The finished pieces invite viewers to experience the impact of a place or concept through fine design and detailed execution.

Teacher

Shelley Werner

Shelley Werner, designer and award winning speaker, curates art that inspires, and interviews the Judaic artists behind these works to bring out fascinating stories. As a designer, Shelley’s deep understanding of art, creative spirit, and abundant energy drew her to Caron Glickman and Michele Doctoroff, who realized that as the Art Gallery Girls they could reach out to Judaic artists and provide them with a unique platform to share their art and stories with a worldwide audience. Shelley’s move to a Calgary at the start of covid to start a new chapter in her life has brought together a passionate Judaic art community that looks forward to their monthly gatherings.
