Festival Sefarad — Colonial Jewish New Amsterdam Walking Tour
The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy presents an America 250 tour tracing the journey of the first American Jewish community, a small group of refugees from Brazil who arrived in New Amsterdam in 1654. The walk follows how they established the first synagogue and fought for the rights and freedoms of future generations.
