Many of us are familiar with the cycle of weekly Torah readings that span the year beginning on the Shabbat following Simchat Torah. Less well known are the multitude of commentaries that the Hasidic masters and other rabbis and scholars have developed over the centuries to examine the profound spiritual and kabbalistic teachings that underpin these foundational Biblical passages, and their meaning for us and our lives today. Join us as we examine the book of Genesis / Bereishit through a Hasidic lens. Note: Students should bring a Bible to class.
