The Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies offers the final trimester of a course exploring the Five Megillot: Qohelet, Song of Songs, Eicha, Ruth, and Esther, with no prior participation required. The sessions examine each scroll through literary, historical, theological, and rabbinic lenses and their connections to Jewish holidays and human experience. Close textual study is paired with classical and contemporary commentary and discussion of each text’s role in Jewish liturgy and culture.
