Cultural Program: Jews for a Secular Democracy

Hosted By: The City Congregation For Humanistic Judaism

Many social justice issues that Humanistic Jews in America care deeply about are related to the separation of church and state. These include reproductive freedom; women’s and LGBTQ+ equality; and secular education for all students.

Learn how Jews for a Secular Democracy brings a Jewish perspective to pushing back against Christian nationalism and religious fundamentalism that would see our country’s laws dominated by one religion’s approach over all others. Jews for a Secular Democracy is a pluralistic initiative of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, the umbrella organization of the movement with which The City Congregation is affiliated.

The program will be preceded by our Shabbat service.
