Revealing the life of even one Crypto-Jew is like unveiling a secret story lived, a story that is likely to be connected to aspects of our modern lives today in ways we could not have imagined without the advent of the world wide web and DNA testing. From every corner of the world, stories of converted and/or secret Jews remained hidden until very recently. In this session, we will discover one little-known story among the peoples of Appalachia in central-southeastern United States.
