Changing The Game: A Discussion Celebrating the Intersection of Cultural, Religious, and Gender Identities

Hosted By: Central Synagogue

As a kickoff to Pride month, Central Synagogue is excited to bring together athletes, activists, and policy experts from Changing the Game and Athlete Ally, along with members of the Central community, for a panel discussion about transgender inclusion in sport, the intersections of cultural, religious, and gender identity, and what we can each to do create safer and more affirming spaces for trans youth in our communities. Rabbi Hilly Haber from Central will help us lay groundwork for the evening pulling from talmudic texts and we hope that participants will leave feeling energized and empowered to join us in becoming better allies.

Athlete Ally is a nonprofit organization working to educate and activate athletic communities to eliminate homophobia and transphobia in sports, and to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQI+ equality
