Book Talk: The Blessing And The Curse

Join Jewish Review of Books’ editor Abe Socher in conversation with poet and literary critic Adam Kirsch, author of The People and the Books: Eighteen Classics of Jewish Literature. With his latest book, The Blessing and the Curse: The Jewish People and Their Books in the Twentieth Century, Kirsch has turned to the Jewish literature that arose from the vast upheavals of the 1900s, from the emigration of Jews out of Eastern Europe to the Holocaust and the creation of Israel.
