Book Talk and Workshop With Poet Ari Satok

Hosted By: The Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan (JCP)

Poet and story-teller Ari Satok will present a book talk and workshop on his most recent book of poetry, Love Too Can Spread. Capturing the strange and surreal times that the pandemic has brought with it, this volume tells the stories of how we filled our days when nothing was as it had been before. With poems about everything from grocery shopping to grief to Grandma’s never-ending challenges with Zoom, this collection brings together the serious and the light-hearted, meditating on the things that truly matter when so much else falls away. During this conversation, Ari will give us the opportunity to reflect on all that we’ve endured over the last year and a half, while helping us find little moments and memories to smile and laugh about in the face of challenge and uncertainty.
