Ancient Values and Modern Times, Stories of Embracing the Other
Hosted By: Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

Welcoming guests is an important Jewish value, one that is highlighted through Sukkot but is found throughout our tradition. During Sukkot we open our temporary homes symbolically to our ancestors, learning each day the importance of extending invitations of welcome.
Explore this value and how it can be expanded to the communal and national sphere. Discover how Jews have both received and given to those in times of need and how communities can embody the value of welcoming the guest.
This is class is part of a series (7/29, 8/5, 8/12, 8/19). Sign up is allowed after the first class.
