Ancient Greece & Hanukkah Tour

The ancient Greece collection affords a unique window into the festival of Chanukah, Pots coins, reliefs and sculptures reveal the ideological battle between Athens and Jerusalem, symbolised by the Parthenon and the Jewish Temple.

Join one of our tours in-person or online and be guided room by room to see the incredible artefacts right up-close, and have your perspective on the Festival of Lights transformed forever.

Teacher

Michelle Sint

Michelle Sint has a BA in English, American and Hebrew Literature from Manchester University, a Masters in Jewish Studies from Jews College and is a Susi Bradfield graduate. She teaches at LSJS, also leading tours of the British Museum, teaches the Matan Batmitzvah course and speaks at a variety of Shuls, Rosh Chodesh groups and schools. Her areas of interest include parasha, Nach, a beginners’ Hebrew grammar course, and particularly enjoys giving workshops and shiurim on Rashi. Michelle has created a 6-week course to teach skills to understand the depth of Rashi's commentary which she has taught to adults and children.
