An Insider View of Peace with Bahrain, Morocco, and the UAE
Hosted By: The National Library of Israel (NLI)
Over the Passover holiday week, thousands of Israelis, newly-released from Covid-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions, flocked to tourist destinations in Dubai. Even more significantly, during Passover, Israeli and Moroccan commerce organizations signed a historic trade agreement valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. NLI USA’s upcoming Signature Speakers Series event, “An Insider View of Peace with Bahrain, Morocco, and the UAE”, will explore the many opportunities ahead that these new peace agreements portend. Join former United States Ambassador to Israel and Egypt Daniel Kurtzer, NLI Head of Collections and Jewish and Islamic scholar Dr. Raquel Ukeles, and distinguished fellow of The Washington Institute and director of the Project on Arab-Israel Relations, David Makovsky, as they probe the opportunities ahead, envision peace, and explore the cultural exchanges on the horizon. David Makovsky is NLI USA’s Board Co-President.
