Brandeis University presents “America and its Jews at 250,” a semester-long course open to the public for a small fee with online learning options, examining how Jews have understood and shaped the United States from the colonial period to the present. Moving chronologically, the course explores America as refuge, republic, marketplace, battleground, and moral project, addressing questions of immigration, religion, law, race, gender, antisemitism, Zionism, and popular culture. Taught by Brandeis faculty and distinguished guests, the course brings academic scholarship into conversation with the wider public.
