Join author and journalist Amir Tibon, winner of the 2026 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature, for a timely conversation about memory, recovery and hope. The $100,000 prize is presented annually to an emerging writer who demonstrates literary excellence and the potential for future contribution to the world of Jewish literature.

Amir Tibon is an award-winning author and journalist, currently working for Haaretz Newspaper. His book “The Gates of Gaza: A Story of Betrayal, Survival and Hope in Israel’s Borderlands” was published in seven languages and won the 2026 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature, the Wingate Prize in the U.K. and the Bernstein Prize in Israel. Amir has previously served as Haaretz’s diplomatic reporter and Washington, D.C. correspondent. His writing on Israel and the Middle East has appeared in The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, The New Yorker and other leading U.S. publications.
