Jonathan Price,PhD is the Fred and Helen Lessing Professor of Ancient History at Tel Aviv University where he has served as chair of the History and the Classics departments. He is the author of many books and articles on Greek and Roman history and historiography, Jewish history of the Hellenistic and Roman periods, and epigraphy (the study of inscriptions). Jonathan is an editor of several books, including the CIIP: A Multilingual Corpus of the Inscriptions from Alexander to Muhammad.
