Dr. Isaac Amon

Dr. Isaac Amon, an attorney and counselor at law, is the Director of Research & Project Development at Jewish Heritage Alliance, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encapsulate and promote the story of Sefarad, a sweeping segment of Jewish and world history. He graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, where his senior thesis on the Spanish Inquisition was awarded “Highest Honors” by the Department of History. He served as the Class Speaker for his Law School Class before earning his J.S.D. (Ph.D. in Law) in comparative criminal procedure. In his career, he has visited sites of the Inquisition and Nazi death camps and ghettos throughout Europe. He has also met with survivors of 20th-century genocides (Rwanda, the former Yugoslavia, and the Holocaust) as well as Benjamin Ferencz, the last living Nuremberg Prosecutor. Dr. Amon, whose paternal ancestors lived in 15th century Spain, has a keen interest in law, history, and the extraordinary saga of Sefarad.
