Challah for Parashat B'shalah
Splitting the sea.
And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. (Exodus 14:23)
וַיִּרְדְּפוּ מִצְרַיִם, וַיָּבאוּ אַחֲרֵיהֶם--כֹּל סוּס פַּרְעה, רִכְבּוֹ וּפָרָשָׁיו אֶל-תּוֹךְ הַיָּם
Pharoah in his chariot and men pursue the Israelites into the parted sea. Just as the Israelites reach land, the parted walls of water come back together and drown the Egyptians.
