Putting on a Tallit (Prayer Shawl)

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam
asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hitateif ba'tzitzit.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe,
who has sanctified us with commandments,
and commanded us to wrap ourselves in fringes.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך-הָעולָם
אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו
וְצִוָּנו לְהִתְעַטֵּף בַּצִּיצִית

Hearing Good News

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam hatov v'ha'meitiv.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who is good and causes good.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך-הָעולָם
הַטּוב וְהַמֵּטִיב.

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam dayan ha'emet.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who is the true judge.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך-הָעולָם
דַיַּן-הָאֱמֶת.

Seeing a Rainbow

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh zokher hab'rit v'ne'eman bivrito v'kayam b'ma'amaro.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to God's covenant, and keeps God's promise.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך-הָעולָם
זוכֵר הַבְּרִית וְנֶאֱמָן בִּבְרִיתו
וְקַיָּם בְּמַאֲמָרו.

Washing Hands

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu al netilat yadayim.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has sanctified us with commandments, and commanded us to wash hands.

אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו
וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת-יָדָיִם.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has sanctified us with commandments, and commanded us to study words of Torah.

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam she'natan mi-kvodo l'vasar va-dam.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has given of his glory to flesh and blood.
