I think that MJL’s “Culture” section is pretty good. It’s pretty diverse and gives good info on subjects that I knew/know very little about (How much do you know about “Artistic Dance in Israel?”).
One thing we’re working on to improve is our video section. Matthue linked yesterday to our new video, “How Jews Look” and more videos will be coming in the upcoming weeks.
But if you have a need for all Jewish culture videos, all the time, I should send you to a cool new blog, Etziongever. The concept for the blog is simple and straightforward. He links to cool music videos and films (mostly Israeli) that you otherwise would never see.
More than once while perusing though the videos, I was like, “yo, that’s phat.” And that’s no lie.
Now I can’t help but steal a totally awesome clip that was just posted. I’m pretty sure it’s a 1950s commercial for Manischewitz but it features Harold Stern, the Jewish Cowboy. It will blow your mind. It features the first line from SoCalled’s “You are Never Alone”, that you will recognize if you know the song.
