Der Heilige Jerry Seinfeld (und Khaverim)

Ask anyone I know and they’ll tell you, I hate Seinfeld. I think that neurotic Jews are like ugly babies — when you’re related to them, they’re adorable. When you’re not, they’re just kind of icky.

And so, given the choice of watching Seinfeld or doing almost anything else, I’ll go with the latter. Actually, it’s a great reminder (and a great excuse) to pick up the phone, leave the room, and call some third cousin or another who I haven’t spoken to since Seinfeld was on the air.

Which totally doesn’t explain why, when you overdub it in Yiddish, I find it so compelling. Maybe you will, too. Any theories?
