JEWISH MUSIC: The Melodies of Life

Music was a part of Jewish worship in the ancient Temple, and this tradition continued into recent years with Yossele Rosenblatt, Shlomo Carlebach, and Debbie Friedman. Jewish music today extends well beyond the synagogue, to the concert halls of Israel, the Klezmer revival, and the reggae of Matisyahu.
