No More JCSCs

I’m not sure exactly when this happened, but it appears that Hillel has stopped its popular and successful Jewish Campus Service Corps (JSCS) Fellowships. JCSCs at campuses around the country specifically targeted the “unengaged” students on campus. Frequently over coffee outside of the Hillel building, JCSCs recruited many students participate in Hillel activities, particularly Birthright Israel.

While the fellowship is over, it’s good to see that Hillel has encouraged campuses to create engagement associate positions to fill that void.
