I could tell you to read MyJewishLearning’s expert article on blood libel, or the greater context of Russian Jewish persecution, but I don’t think either of them would help understanding exactly what this is. This blog post from EnglishRussia.com puts it into perspective — it’s a joke, a new twist on the Russian fad of high-end vodkas. To seal the deal, each bottle contains a unique child statue made of fortified glass. But, with a bottle like that, why would you ever need to empty it?

Thanks Mobius for the tip.
