This Jewish thinker and Reconstructionist leader asked: Does belief in God make sense?

Milton Steinberg was an American Conservative rabbi and theologian (1903-50). Steinberg studied philosophy at City College in New York and was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1928.

Steinberg served more than 15 years as rabbi of Manhattan’s Park Avenue Synagogue. His books included  As A Driven Leaf, Basic Judaism and A Partisan Guide to the Jewish Problem.
