Siyyum  (Hebrew, 'termination')

Term applied to the completion of the copying of a Torah scroll. It also refers to the completion of the study of a tractate of the Talmud. To celebrate these events a special meal takes place (Seudat mitzvah), where a concluding lecture is delivered.
